The Anglican Diocese of Mt. Kenya Central covers four Sub Counties of Murang’a County; Kiharu, Kahuro, Kangema and Mathioya. It is made up of 15 Archdeconaries,35 Deanaries,114 Parishes and 255 Local Churches. The Diocese has close to 70,000 Anglican Communicants. The oldest Church in the Diocese is A.c.k Immanuel Church Withaga that was founded in 1903 by the missionaries.
