Diocesan Mission Association
Rev. Loise Kuria
D.M.A stands for Diocesan Missionary Association. This is the department that deals with evangelism and mission work in the diocese. It is also responsible for the outreach work and planting churches in areas that are not predominantly Anglican.
The department is driven by the following five motives:-
1.To celebrate God’s word (worship)
2.To communicate God’s word (Evangelism)
3.To incorporate God’s family (Fellowship)
4.To educate God’s people (Discipline)
5.To demonstrate God’s love (Ministry)
Role of the D.M.A Department
D.M.A stands for Diocesan Missionary Association. D.M.A Department has been putting a lot of efforts in enhancing outreach to the lost, nurturing new believers comforting the less fortunate and strengthening the weak Parishes in our Diocese.
Achievements
Being the mother of all Departments, Mission Department has been working together with all Departments so as to reach both the young and old.
- To the newly planted local churches we are training the church leaders on self sustainanace, self governance and self propagation of their churches.
- The Department has visited the Parishes during the previous years and trained Christians on stewardship and Christian giving. Most Parishes have responded very well.
- We have partnered with some Parishes that held Missions and also offered follow up fellowships for newly believers.
- We have been training worship leaders, preachers and intercessors in our Churches.
- We have equiped D.M.A Department by upgrading the Mission equipments for the facilitation of crusade and open airs especially in the weak Churches.
- In Tuthu Parish we have planted two more Churhes ie Karichiungu and Gatuchu.
- We have completed purchasing Gatucu land.We thank God for the well wishers of our Diocese, one of them donated a plot where we have built a semi permanent Church in preparation of building a permanent Church.
- We have purchased a Mission Van.This achievement has been made through early preparations by our Clergy and Churh leaders D.M.A has been on the vise each year.
