Teachers – Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6)
Vision: A firm foundation of the church built on the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ with the ability to equip children to face the emerging global challenges.
Mission: To prepare children for future responsibilities through nurturing, teaching and mentoring.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  •   To lay good foundation among the young children and to build them up in the knowledge of children faith.
  • To help the church understand her responsibility towards children to live in good Christian character, responsible and meaningful lives morally and socially.
  • To educate young children.

ACTIVITIES IN CHILDRENS MINISTRY

Daily Vocation Bible School – Children gather a given place for a whole week. During this period they learn new songs, series of Bible teachings, games e.t.c.

Rallies – They are best organized by Sunday school committee with one teacher Coming from every centre i.e. parish or Local church. They can be held once a month depending on the organization of the vicar. The rallies give an opportunity to children from different churches to meet and socialize as part of a much greater number of Sunday schools.
They should be held in places which can accommodate all the children, their parent and teachers too. The children should be restricted to ages 7-13. Activities include singing, prayer talk acting, and Bible quiz competition e.t.c.

Children camp – unlike a youth camp, the children’s camp is abit shorter. The children can camp for 2-3 days. Their programs include Bible stories, video or film show, games songs and memory verses and various activities done after the Bible lesson.

Bible Club – This takes every Saturday or one weekday after school. Children gather for one hour. Various activities take place for instance worship. Bible stories, games picnics exchanging gifts e.t.c.

Children’s Church – This is for children of various ages up to 15 years under this arrangement they are separated from the adult and have their own class where they can be ministered to according to their level of understanding.
