Administrative Secretary
Ven. Samuel Kuria Karabu
The office of the Administrative Secretary is very key and instrumental in any organization. In our Diocese we have that office that is responsible for the day to day running of the Bishops office safe for the Episcopal duties that are strictly reserved for the Diocesan Bishop. The Administrative Secretary is in charge of all the staff in the office of the Bishop as well as other personnel in the Diocese i.e. teachers and other non teaching staff in the Diocesan schools. The Administrative Secretary also looks into other key administrative matters for the good running of the Diocese.
The holder of the office is a member of the Provincial Synod and sits in all Diocesan Boards. In most cases, the holder of the office does not have a Parish but works from the office of the Bishop since the work is too enormous. Except on very few occasion, the Administrative Secretary is always an Archdeacon installed in the Diocesan Cathedral.
