Gacharu farm is located 10kms away from Murang’a town on the Western Side of the Kenol Muranga road branching at a place known as Mbombo. The farm sits on a two acres land donated by the then County Council to the Diocese for a children centre. The farm has got one house block with six units that are rental. The proceeds from these rental houses trickle down to the vulnerable children across the Diocese and beyond. The centre also had a daily project and a farm where farm produce are cultivated for sale. The Sunday school department in the Diocese is directly in charge of the place. The future projections are that the centre can be able to assist more needy children as was the intended purpose safe for the bundles in registering a children’s home. The Diocese also plan to make it a Centre of excellence for dairy and poultry farming as a way of getting resources to help the needy children in the society. This is possible and can be done by Faith.
