This church was started in 1915 as an out station of Weithaga Pastorate. The foundation stone of the permanent church was laid on 26th February 1945 by Rev. Canon Paul Mbatia. The church together with other neighbouring churches was made a parish in 1965. The first vicar was Rev. Filex Nyoro. The church over the years has grown in reaps and bounds with many infrastructure development all around. The church has equally produced great men and women of faith serving the Lord in various capacities. The Bishop of Nairobi Diocese hails from this church.
